Since Barr Private Care opened its doors in March of 1992, there has been an overwhelming community response due to our dedicated and caring staff and the economical and efficient quality of care.


Barr Private Care was nurse founded and is locally, family owned. We offer an alternative to institutional care. Our goal is for you or your loved one to achieve the highest level of independence while remaining in the comfort of your own home.


Our staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to our clients and their families.

Barr Private Care's Licensed Caregivers Treat You Like Family

We are very proud of our caregivers. At BARR Private Care we know how important it is to the family and the client to have a qualified, trusted trained caregiver come in to your home. Our management team spends a great deal of time and expense when hiring a potential new employee.


All of our caregivers receive an extensive criminal background check before hire and are annually checked, drug testing before hire and during employments, must have reliable references and they are checked before hire, have a current CPR certificate, medical requirements met including TB testing, and have a current Certified Nurse Aid license (CNA) and car insurance.

At Barr, we also hire HHA – Home Health Aides and IHA -In Home Aid or Companion, Registered Nurses (RN’S and LPN’S). We have various caregivers that are trained to care for Alzheimer’s, Dementia, (COPD) Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, (ALS) Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Parkinson’s, Cancer, and most chronic medical conditions. We are very proud of our caregivers.
